Dina Forster has been practicing occupational therapy for over four years.  After graduating with her Masters Degree in occupational therapy Dina began working in the pediatric setting.    She started in school based therapy and continues to serve the school age population, specifically grades K-8th.  Before joining Positive Steps, Dina also worked in early intervention providing OT services to children in the home environment.  She loves working with children, striving to provide them with the skills and strategies that are needed to succeed in their home and school environments.

Dina enjoys learning more about OT and becoming a more knowledgeable therapist.  She recently completed a Post Professional Pediatric Certificate from Misericordia University.  Her courses of study focused on Vision Rehabilitation, Advanced Pediatric Issues and Trends, Sensory Integration treatment and evaluation, Adolescent and Early Adulthood Issues in Autism, as well as Treatment and Evaluation of Pediatric Feeding Issues.

Additionally Dina has completed continuing education courses and workshops in Handwriting without Tears, The Alert Program, Developing Sensory Diets, Sensory Processing and Autism in the Classroom, Multi-Sensory Strategies and Tools for the Classroom, Multi- Sensory Handwriting, Honoring the Child with Developmental Challenges: Yoga for Kids, Advancing Opportunities through Assistive Technology, and Low Vision Adaptions.

She was named “NJ Favorite Kids’ Doc and Exceptional Healthcare Providers 2012” by New Family Magazine.  The professionals on the list were nominated as “exceptional” by readers of the magazine.

Dina received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Seton Hall University in 2009.  She also graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies.  When she is not working Dina enjoys spending time with her husband Jordan and their dog Lucy.
